My 2018 Platform

Our Future!   Some of the things I plan to accomplish

Continue to replace aging wastewater infrastructure in Wiarton.

Extend Sauble town water along Main St and south on the parkway to enable residential development.

Continue to push commercial, retail and residential development for Wiarton.

Usher in proposed senior housing developments in Wiarton and Sauble Beach.

Continue my search for a developer for the old Foodland property in Wiarton.

Investigate the feasibility of an Aquatic & Wellness Centre with a walking track.

Ensure the entire municipality has high-speed internet.

Ensure we continue to maintain a clean, sandy, weed-free Sauble Beach.

Continue the move toward supporting Town events. Let’s support more than the Wiarton Willie Festival.

Maintain position on the Land Claim and see this resolved judicially. We simply can’t hand over one of our town’s biggest assets.

Create a Sports Hall of Fame to honour our town's world class athletes.

Continue to reduce our debt, increase our assets and keep our tax increases as low as possible.

And that’s just a start!

On October 22, 2018 vote for Mayor

Endorsement Paul

"Thank you, Mayor Jackson, for your tireless efforts for change and improvements, for your leadership and commitment to the business community of S.B.P., and for staying true through adversity and political challenges."

Paul Deacon
President
